TagMate

About us

A student brand with a small, smart idea.

TagMate is a young brand founded by students at HOGENT. We combine hand-crocheted design with a hidden tracker so you can always find your belongings.

How it started

From a class project to our own brand.

During our course, we were asked to start our own business. We soon realised everyone in our group knew the same problem: lost keys, a bag left behind, that second of panic. We wanted to do something about it, our own way.

Why TagMate?

Trackers are useful, but rarely beautiful.

We wanted an accessory you enjoy carrying that also gives you peace of mind.

The idea

A tracker that goes unnoticed, hidden in something that does stand out: a cheerful crocheted charm.

The cherry

Two cherries, one whole: connected, recognisable and complete. A small detail that makes the whole.

The little fish

Fish always find their way back home, just like your belongings with TagMate.

The founders

The students behind TagMate.

Three students, one shared mission: bringing safety and design together.

Charlotte Fourier

CEO

Hey hey! I am Charlotte, a student at HOGENT and CEO of TagMate. I had an AirTag myself, but I did not find it very pretty. When I lost my glasses, I realised how handy such a tracker is. But why should something practical not also look nice? That idea became TagMate: a little charm that helps me find my things and that I happily hang on my bag.

Youna Dammekens

Financial management

Hey hey! I am Youna Dammekens, a student at HOGENT. Outside my studies, I have enjoyed being a majorette for many years. My inspiration for TagMate? Those familiar moments when I lost my keys yet again. That is how the idea came about to make something beautiful that also offers a little extra peace of mind.

Bo Hebbrecht

Marketing

Hey! I am Bo Hebbrecht and I study Marketing Support at HOGENT. On top of that, I was a scout leader for 3 years. A fun fact about me: I once lost my bag after a night out, with cash inside. In hindsight, I should have put an AirTag in it!
